In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

How can this be happening in the 21st Century? That’s what Jessica said and so she started her journey to discover why women operate at a discount. Her biggest discovery? Women are held back by their greatest fear… the fear of being disliked. Now, it’s time for women to let go of their fear and fight for the respect they deserve. As Jessica says, “it’s ok to be disliked, it’s not ok to be disrespected”! Jessica Macias is the Co-Founder & Managing Director at Leadapreneur.
