On the 11th of May, a malicious software – the virus WannaCry was able to compromise various computers of the internal network of Telefonica. This caused the company to ask all of its employees of the Madrid office to switch off their computers. Various other companies worldwide have been attacked as well. How could this happen? Can this occur again in the future? Can we protect ourselves from these threats? How?
