Theme: Re-Thinking The Norm

The event will start at 7 pm and it will end at 10 pm. The theme is 'Re-thinking the Norm,' and we will be hosting three speakers, as well as three old TED videos. Our speakers are Paula Vennels, Sir Richard Barrons, and Alex Choi.

Alex Choi

Entrepreneur

Alex Choi is a teen entrepreneur who changed a hobby of coding into a start-up run by students across the world. Arlix Technologies provides software development services to corporations as well as having its own elearning platform, Learn+. Arlix Technologies also runs many community projects such as working with The World Youth Organisation on their technical needs as well as well as a Teen Entrepreneurs Conference held in countries worldwide. Most of this started within his boarding dorm at boarding school.

Paula Vennels

CEO of The Post Office UK

Paula has worked for Post Office Limited since 2007 in a number of senior roles, including Managing Director, becoming Chief Executive on 1 April 2012. Prior to Post Office, Paula spent five years with Whitbread plc, latterly as Group Commercial Director. She began her career with Unilever and L’Oreal and has held directorships in sales and marketing with a number of major retailers, including Dixons Stores Group and Argos. Paula is a Non-Executive Director of Morrisons plc, a Trustee for the Hymns Ancient and Modern Group and a member of the Future High Street Forum.

Richard Barrons
