In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Reshmika Ramesh

Reshmika Ramesh is a rising senior at Moorpark High School. She started pursuing public speaking after she was selected to give the commencement speech at her eighth grade graduation. After discovering her new passion, Reshmika continued to practice the art of public speaking through her community positions and by representing her school at public speaking competitions where she has taken both first and second place. She has spoken at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library as a student ambassador for the Presidential Foundation and at many events in her local community as Miss Teen Moorpark Princess. She is also a very active member in her community and dedicates many hours to volunteering at her local food pantry, schools, and Kiwanis club. For her commitment to community involvement, Reshmika recently received the President’s Volunteer Service Award and was named Youth of the Year. She has lived in Moorpark for practically her entire life with her mom, dad, and younger brother.
