In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Mumbai Head, Director, Animal Angels Foundation

Director at Animal Angels Foundation, an non-profit, who train dogs for various therapy sessions. He manages operations of Animal Angels Foundation in Mumbai and is has implemented various therapy dog training programs. He works as the chief trainer for Mumbai division where he trains volunteers and therapy dogs.

Chandrakant Agame

Chandrakant Agame is a student of Petrochemical Engineering at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. He had been interested in the way humans interact since childhood. And to satisfy his hunger he had been reading books on psychology and interactions and human relationships. He reads a book a week, and loves to sleep. He gave his first public talk in kindergarten, entitled ‘India is my motherland’ on 15th of August. And he had been talking ever since, nonstop, except while eating and reading. He even talks in sleep. Last line was an exaggeration. He love to sing alone, or that’s what eventually happens to him once he starts singing. He is not much of a sportsperson but can play video games for hours. His favorite dish is Gulab Jamun and he firmly believes, not sharing one can seriously deteriorate relationships.

Dr. Anil Prakash Joshi

Dr. Anil Prakash Joshi is an Indian green activist, social worker, botanist and the founder of Himalayan Environmental Studies and Conservation Organization (HESCO), a non governmental organization involved in the development of environmentally sustainable technologies for the agricultural sector. He is a recipient of the Jamnalal Bajaj Award and is an Ashoka Fellow. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2006, for his contributions to Indian society.

Dr. Dhananjaya Sharma

The only surgeon in India to be awarded a PhD in gastrointestinal surgery. Head of Department of Surgery at GMC, Jabalpur, MP, India, mainly focuses his research on low-cost medical treatments for people living in remote areas.

Dr. Sharad Kale

Padma Shree Dr. Sharad Kale, is a retired BARC scientist, who developed NISARGRUNA, a biogas plant based on degradable waste source. He featured in an episode of Satyamev Jayate discussing the issue of solid waste management.

Currently serving as the vice-chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, he is on leave from the post of Bharat Petroleum Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga. He has more than 7 awards in the field of chemical engineering, has published 164 papers in national and international journals, has written two books and is the professional member of more than 30 academic as well as industrial bodies.

A travel enthusiast, who always wanted to travel and so he travels throughout India on his bike and vlogs his adventure regularly on his YouTube channel Mumbiker Nikhil. He has traveled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on his bike to show the world, how beutiful the India is.
