In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Cladio Sasski is the co-founder of Geekie, a social business aimed at empowering the learning experience of Brazilian students by analysing their individual performance. Claudio Sassaki's work in educational services began with the creation of an NGO called Movimento Jovem, which offered cultural and sport experiences and focused on the development of interpersonal skills for youths. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the management of several NGOs, and also worked at Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and Petra Energia. He holds an MBA and a master's degree in education from Stanford University.
