Theme: Connecting the Dots

This event occurred on
October 28, 2016
2:00pm - 8:00pm EET
(UTC +2hrs)
Alexandria, Al Iskandarīyah
Egypt

When people hear about us, they wonder, what is it that we do, and what impact do we have on our community. In the most abstract sense, what we basically do is spread ideas that are worthwhile.

TEDxAASTMT, The Arab Academy based TEDx entity, believes that the thing about ideas is that they are the only true sustainable thing in our world. They don’t burn, collapse or even fade away. They are eternal. Ideas change lives and widen perspectives.

We like to think of our world as some kind of a big puzzle, more like a dot diagram. Each idea or each dot alone doesn’t really hold any meaning. But when you spread these ideas and connect these dots, you will find yourself in front of something extraordinary. This is what we do here at TEDxAASTMT, we help in spreading ideas that are worthwhile. We connect the dots.

The belief in the importance of the past and its effect in determining our future is the essence of this year’s theme; our aim is to present diverse ideas that would inspire the audience with thought provoking talks that could link our past, present and future. Also, the world we live in today is a structure of intersecting fields and cultures. The attending audience will be presented with new emerging technologies, enriching new experiences and past lessons that every age of the audience could relate to and aspire to learn and discover. In our event you will witness the dots coming together and connected to represent the different aspects of life that forms the pillars of the new age from technology to history to lifestyle and humanities.
