In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

CHAT

CHAT is the Community Health Action Team. It was developed to promote mental health and wellness in the Central Ohio area.

Gwendolyn and Zayne Harshaw

Gwen's son's diagnosis has transformed her life. She works in the special needs community and is on 4 boards related to special needs & autism: Ohio State Independent Living Council, Arts & Autism Institute, Food for Good Thought, Center for Autism Services & Transition. Gwen is also involved with managing and marketing Zayne's band Blue Spectrum as well as volunteering in related events.

Amraha Nadeem

Amraha recently graduated as valedictorian from Hilliard Darby High School. Throughout high school, she has been actively involved in empowering diversity, and helping others realize the value of our differences. She is also a part of many interfaith organizations such as SAIL (Safe Alliance of Interfaith Leaders), whose main purpose is to promote peace and unity in society. Ever since 7th grade, she has participated in numerous speech competitions, and has advanced to the regional level five times.

Jeff Butler

Jeff Butler holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of California Berkeley and has studied psychology for almost a decade. After working as a Software Engineer, Jeff turned his focused towards his true passion- psychology. He has started several companies since, and his most recent company Tek Life Mastery, helps professionals conquer tech distraction to get more done in less time. He speaks at various clubs, colleges, and corporations regarding tech distraction. Aside from working on his companies, his primary aim in life is to show people how to live more fulfilling lives whether that’s from helping them find their purpose in life or inspiring them to new levels of achievement.

Jillian Yuricich

Jillian recently graduated from The Ohio State University in the Class of 2016 with honors in the degree of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and a minor in International Studies, Security and Intelligence. She is a two-time Astronaut Scholar, an honor she received for two different research projects. This scholarship has allowed her to befriend several astronauts and has been a new-found source of motivation in her life.

Joe Ross

Joe Ross was completely educated in the Hilliard City School system and now is a teacher and coach at the middle school and high school that he attended as a student. He is also a graduate from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Secondary Education. He has coached both boys and girls volleyball at Hilliard Darby, where he is in his 3rd year as the head coach of the girls program. In 2013 with the boys, he was on staff as they captured their first ever State Championship. Recently, Joe was fortunate enough to have a video chosen as a viewer submission for Jon Gordon's Power of Positive Summit. His talk, The Power of the End, was posted on the Summit's website alongside many others from motivational speakers, best-selling authors and professional athletes.

Jon Gordon

Kunal Verma

Kunal is a Hilliard Darby High School alumni, a runner, and works at Starbucks. He is currently attending Ohio State University.

Mikaela Hunt

Mikaela is a Brand Journalist and the co-host of the recently launched Momcast through Columbus Radio Group. She spent 17 years in TV news and have been speaking to audiences throughout Central Ohio on the above topic. Her recent work includes videos for Columbia Gas of Ohio, the city of Hilliard, Rusty Bucket corporate and more.

Mike McDonough

Mike has the distinct pleasure in serving as an Assistant Superintendent for the Hilliard City Schools. He has become extremely passionate about CrossFit and has competed nationally as an adaptive athlete. Mike's been active in non-profit work to help fellow amputees, serve as a certified peer visitor for new amputees, and been recognized by the Arthritis Foundation of Columbus and the OHSAA for his courage and perseverance.

TJ George

Award winning Singer-Songwriter Songs have been placed for movies and television. Written and collaborated with top ten charted songwriters. Performed on a nationally distributed PBS television show called 'Songs at The Center'. Launched national tour to perform music to a larger audience. Worked in local community to bring local songwriters together to build strength in unity. 3 solo CDs and a CD made of up a collaborative effort. Deliver songwriting courses to other songwriters in the state.
