In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Daniel Anh Tuan Tran

Daniel is a trainer of human potential, an inventor of ideas, a Toastmaster of inspirational expressions, and a believer of everyone achieving their dreams. His past adventures include authoring and co-authoring 10 patents in the field of audio and ultrasonic technologies, performing in rock bands, organizing a cross-country business case competition and also winning one, and public speaking. His life purpose brings him to people development. He is now a trainer of ELTD Co., Ltd, a new venture to help others realize their full potential and make a positive impact in the society.

Emily Navarra

Founder of Standpoint Theories
Artistic Director / Choreographer / Performer Founder - Standpoint Theories (Legends of Vietnam) Founder - The Movement Kitchen BA Dance Studies (University of South Florida, US) Emily Navarra is a B.A. Dance Studies graduate from the University of South Florida who uses traditional culture and modernization as a choreographic tool to embark on fierce kinetic adventures. Her work as a freelance artist has been presented in the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, North Africa and the United Kingdom. She formed Standpoint Theories - Legends of Vietnam in 2013, a collaborative yearly project which retells six Vietnamese legends through dance, visual art and live music. In 2015, she founded The Movement Kitchen which aims to create a wider platform for local dance artists and non-dancers to come together and encourage a further understanding of the art of movement; mentally and physically. She currently resides in HCMC, Vietnam.

Hoang Nhut Duong

Winner of XORATOR, Web developer & Coach at TGM Group
When he was more than 1 years old, Duong Hoang Nhut unfortunately had an skull surgery due to an accident. Although he was alive, the doctor said that his intelligence would be reduced to 50-60%, and it was difficult to have a normal development like others. However, he has proved that success largely depends on the constant effort of yourself, not a great intelligence. He has completed the Master of Computer Science of the HCMC University of Technology - the only program in Vietnam to be qualified for ABET globally in 2015. Besides, he also participated in writing the scientific paper published in an international conference about green tech and sustainable development.

Maurice Hodgson

Mr Maurice Hodgson is an experienced Results Coach, Corporate Trainer, Advanced Communication Teacher in Viet Nam. He is also an expert in other fields such as Management and Sales Consultation. With a view to helping Vietnamese Youths master Communication and Leadership Skills, he has been organizing various relevant workshops, activities as well as governing Saigon Toastmasters. Although having just lived in Viet Nam for almost 2 years, his love for this country encourage him to make more contribution to its community and future development.

Tu is an education & tech entrepreneur. Tu co-founded and built Yola into a leading education services provider with thousands of student enrollments and a network of 6 learning centers in Vietnam. Yola's graduates are now at top global universities (Harvard, Stanford, Cornell, etc.). Tu's also an evangelist for ELSA (www.elsanow.io), a mobile platform that helps English learners with automated pronunciation and speaking feedback. Tu has a B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University and an MBA from INSEAD
