Theme: Think Glocal

Through this conference and our highly talented and inspirational speakers, we hope to spark creativity and inspire our audience to make a positive change in their life and to learn more about the world around them.

Our theme for this year’s conference is “Think Glocal”. Glocal is essentially defined as anything that reflects or is characterized by both local and global considerations. We chose this as our theme because of its originality and relevance to the UAE, which is an ideal location that symbolizes the integration of globalization with local customs and identities. It is at the forefront of the intermingling between the global and the local.

Shubham Gandhe

Student

My name is Shubham Gandhe and I am 21 years old. I was born in India and raised in the UAE. Since childhood I have been quite inclined towards the subject physics, hence this led to me choosing engineering as my major. I am currently a junior year student studying mechanical engineering. I am also a member of the AUS cricket team and the AUS badminton team, and I have represented AUS in many debating competitions in the past 3 years at university. While debating I am mostly a rebuttal speaker and enjoy having heated arguments on the debate floor. I am passionate about aerospace engineering and will do my masters in it after completing my bachelor's degree. Apart from this I also enjoy speaking at MUN; the most recent MUN I took part in was AUSMUN. My aim in life is to work for NASA one day.
