In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Amanda Jetté Knox

Amanda Jetté Knox is an award-winning writer, human rights advocate and speaker. The mother of three believes passionately in equality for all, and that acceptance and compassion for ourselves brings acceptance and compassion for others. Her writing has been featured on Upworthy, Buzzfeed, CBC, the Globe and Mail, and various other national and international outlets. Amanda lives in Ottawa, Canada, with her wife, daughter, two sons, and a coffee maker that never quits. She regularly blogs on her personal site, themavenofmayhem.com.

Celine Chen

Celine Chen is a grade 12 student. In school, she participates in IC Change and is a member of the Track and Field team. This summer she attended the Women2Women international leadership program in Boston and the Next Generation Leaders (NGL) Forum in Toronto. Outside of school she enjoys playing guitar, blogging and reading. Celine is interested in pursuing a career in business or computer science.

Chelby Daigle

Chelby is a mental health advocate who realizes that loneliness is an international health issue. Chelby raising the alarm for a cultural shift in order to address this growing problem through community-building.

David Perry

David Perry is the managing partner behind the $300M in salary negotiations at Perry-Martel International, the author of the Guerrilla Marketing for Job Hunters book and Coaching series, and the forthcoming Recruiting for Dummies book.
