Theme: Enough!

Though we probed through Mars, we are still unable to probe through our own problems. Though we dug to the atoms physically, we fail to dig into the roots of the moral world. Though we work on defining space, we fail to define the spaces around us. And a single clairvoyant view on what stands around us, is all that is needed to bring to your mind exactly what our theme states. Enough!! - TEDxYouth@BeaconhouseLahore

Our TEDxYouth aspires to be more than just space for ideas worth spreading. Our attendees are composed of educators and students who will be bringing the power of TED to their respective communities post-event.

Azeem Hamid

Visual Theater Artist

Starting his career in 2005, Azeem initially worked as a volunteer in the British council's Pakistan Beyond borders program. He chose to complete his BFA visual communication Design with a distinction. Through his four years at college, he also continued to volunteer in different projects. Under the banner of Independent theater Pakistan, he directed and produced 15 productions to date. He is currently working with a number of schools and colleges to make a network of theater programs

Humaira Shahid

Member of provincial assembly

Humaira Awais Shahid is a working journalist, human rights activist and a two term Provincial legislator. She focuses primarily on human rights issues, and has been advocating, writing, and legislating against human rights abuses. Shahid is the first parliamentarian of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab to pass a law (and repeal a former one) as a private member. This achievement took more than four years in parliament. Her recently launched book a memoir “ Devotion and Defiance” published by W.W. Norton & Company, March 2014 received worldwide acclaim. The book captures her experience in politics and violence against women. She is also the lead advocate of International Violence against Women Act (IVAWA) a legislation moved in US Senate and US Congress, by a coalition of 150 women organizations world wide.

Nabiha Asad

Nabiha Asaid is a 12 year old and a student of grade 7. In her free time, she likes to read books and play games etc. She is a football fan and is her grade's captain. She loves acting and won the best play award twice in a row. Her dream is to go to National College of Arts.

Hamza butt has done hus BSC in biotechnology and Biostats, and conducts music classes at Forman Christian College. He is an artist at Nescafe basement
