In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Aleksandr Zhedeljov

Aleksandr Zhedeljov is the music director of the Russian Theatre of Estonia. Alexander thinks that music is a key to enlightenment explains why one should be as attentive choosing the music to listen, as with the food to eat.

Alexander Arabkin

Anton Keks

Anton Keks is a software craftsmen, co-founder of Codeborne, author of a popular network tool - Angry IP Scanner and other open-source projects, frequent speaker at conferences and a lecturer in Tallinn University of Technology. He strongly believes in open-source software and agile methodologies. His speech is about the technology and infrastructure behind digital signatures, which gives Estonian citizens opportunity to safely sign digital documents, verify digital identity, participate in e-voting etc. Anton will also tell us how this technology can revolutionize the way we understand the meaning of nations, countries and their borders – now and in the future.

Artur Klett

Eye-surgeon and oculoplastic expert Artur Klett introduces the evolution of the ocular surgery, which made it possible to conduct sophisticated transplantation of the cornea endothelium and give people back the ability to see. Thanks to the new skills and technologies in the nearest future we will drastically lift the effectiveness of transplantation, and no longer require any help from donors.

Galina Timchenko

Galina Timchenko is founder and CEO of the independent news project Meduza. In 2004-2014 she worked as the chief editor of the leading Russian online edition Lenta.ru. Under the leadership of Timchenko Lenta.ru has reached its peak, becoming one of the most visited European news sites. In an effort to attract more "clicks", modern media is not averse to use speculative headlines and replication of "scandalous" material, thus treating their audience as the greatest foe, while in fact media can not live without a reader. Timchenko claims that the only way for media to exist is to be fully devoted to the audience. This speech is a great reminder to all media workers about who they are and why (and for whom) they do it.
