Theme: The Unending Quest

This event occurred on

"A silent slumber, a slithering breeze;
Like autumn leaves that break with ease.
The dusk turned dawn, yet skies remain;
A deluded wanderer set forth in vain.

This mind, its heart has much to keep;
The soul, it stole the nights their sleep.
For in most my dreams I drift offshore,
From disquieted seas to an unsettled score.

Some things we seek may simply be,
Like our life a story for all to see;
Strive and strive to be the best,
As we engage on our unending quest."

When we were kids, we had a lot of doubts conjuring in our heads. We had this insatiable urge to know everything about everything. There was simply no room for ignorance and that’s where it all began, this search for answers. Somewhere along the rocky paths of life we lose this innate trait of ours. We lose it in dead-end jobs, in conforming to the patterns of society, in obtaining the feeling of belonging and fitting in.
The truth is not exhaustive and it can vary from individual to individual. Another person’s truth might not be the same as yours and that implies that each one must set on his own quest. You must find your own muse, the passion that absorbs your mind, body and soul. The force that throws the light in your eyes and gives you a brighter perspective. That which makes you cherish each and every moment of your life while knowing that you are on the right path.
Just because you have reached the right place in life does not mean you get stagnant. You do not pause right there cause it does not end. Even if you did choose to freeze your life to that frame, you are not going to stay happy. Human soul is like a river that keeps flowing and enriching the soil around. Likewise keep moving forward, excelling, impacting and most of all searching and discovering the unknown. There is no stopping and there is certainly no end because life is an unending quest.

Mallika Jagad

26/11 Mumbai Attack Survivor
Bravery does not come easily to people. Rising up to the situation in 2008 we saw bravery in the employees of Taj Palace Hotel, Mumbai and among them was Mallika Jagad. At 24 she experienced a situation that was beyond common contemplation back then. Mallika was in charge of a banquet at Taj Mumbai on 26th November 2008, when gunshots were heard which sounded oddly similar to fireworks. Ms.Jagad was quick to act accordingly, as she switched off the lights and encouraged everyone to stay quiet and calm. This brave young lady with the help of other staff made sure that all the guests were safe and well hydrated. Later when external help arrived, Ms.Jagad made sure everyone was taken to safety without stopping for a moment to think of saving her own skin. Her bravery that night saved the lives of many and for her selfless bravery she received the National Bravery Award.
