In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Karthick Iyer

Violinist and Vocalist, IndoSoul
Karthick Iyer is a violinist, vocalist and a music composer who started his journey in the mesmerizing world of music at the age of eight. He is the soul behind the 'IndoSoul' music . It is fundamentally Indian but it is universal in approach and appeal. His work is an amalgamation of different instruments and influences. The dexterous mixing of different styles is one of the defining characteristics of Karthick’s music.

Mallika Dutt

CEO, Breakthrough
A leading innovator in human rights, multimedia, and culture change, Mallika dutt is the founder, president, and CEO of 'Breakthrough' whose mission is to build a world without any activities of violence on women and girls. She shares her cutting-edge approach to transformation through speaking, writing, commentary and game-changing multimedia campaigns. Dutt has been named one of Verve's Top 50 most influential women twice and has received multiple awards in recognition of her human rights activism. Dutt is also a co-founder Sakhi for South Asian Women, a women's rights organization.

Manish Ranjan

Co-founder, NanoHealth
An alumnus of IIT Bombay and Indian School of Business, Manish Ranjan is the co-founder and CEO of the social enterprise 'NanoHealth' that focuses on managing chronic diseases like diabetes, asthma, and hypertension in Indian urban slums and low income communities. NanoHealth is the recipient of the Global Hult Prize 2014. Today, his venture is one of the most innovative social enterprises in India that seeks to offer affordable health care services for India’s vast urban poor.

Rahul Alex Panicker

President and Co-founder, Embrace Innovations
An alumnus of IIT Madras, Stanford University, Rahul Alex Panicker is the president and co-founder of the Embrace Innovations. A graduate in Electrical Engineering, listed in World’s Top 35 Innovators under the age of 35, Rahul has worked on multimode ultra high-speed optical telecom systems at Infinera Corporation before he founded Embrace Innovations. Dr. Panicker and a few other fellow graduates created a low-cost and low maintenance infant incubator that works without electricity. He donates these infant incubators to clinics in need. He has been awarded “Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2013” and “The Economist Innovation Award for Social and Economic Innovation “.
