Our first TEDxSurreyUniversitySalon event of the year will have a specific focus on human rights, with subjects ranging from the current refugee crisis to LGBT issues. We have also invited David Griffiths as our guest speaker who is the Transition Lead and Research Director for South Asia at Amnesty International and has seven years' experience managing human rights research and advocacy teams, and over ten years' experience in research, campaigning and advocacy. The aim of this event is to allow the audience to engage with the deeper issues and encourage them to really think about the issues surrounding the talks.
