Is Asia Already the Epicenter Cyber Crime? Has Asia Been Breached?

Commerce, Finance, Education, Health, Love, Logistics, Community... so many aspects of life are moving online faster and deeper than ever before with no signs of slowing down. At the same time, we have never felt less secure with incidents of phishing, rootkits, bots, DDoS attacks, hacks, hijacks, spyware and malware surging EVERYWHERE and the scope of each reported breach and magnitude of loss growing exponentially. To make matters worse, with the economic cost of cyber crime and economic espionage fast approaching US$500 billion, experts estimate that cybersecurity standards and effectiveness in Asia, a region with the majority of the world's population, GDP, online traffic and by far the fasting growing middle class, is years behind those in the United States and Europe and ill equipped to defend itself against this critical threat. What to do!?!?

Our first ever focused event on cybersecurity will be held on Saturday, November 7th at the iconic Sunbeam Theatre in North Point, Hong Kong Island. We will spend a thought provoking afternoon with leading thinkers, experts and professionals in online security, encryption, digital forensics, blockchain and intelligent global networks. If you are interested in security in the digital age, this event can't be missed!
