At our first TEDxGreensboroSalon we will use Greensboro’s One City/One Book program as a launching pad for a conversation about what we are learning about design and development from nature. In A Walk in the Woods, Bill Bryson focuses on his experiences on the Appalachian Trail and discusses the ways we manage our parks and natural resources. But our environment is more than recreation – it is an instructor in adaptation and design. In addition to a stimulating TED Talk, our speakers will include Don Edralin, NC A&T State University, who will discuss using nature's design in urban landscaping in ways that apply to our community.
