In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alex Aranzábal

Alex Aranzábal was elected President of SD Eibar in 2009. During his tenure, the team ascended to the First Division Spanish Football League for the second season since founding the Club in 1940. He holds a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Deusto in Bilbao.

Antonio Davila

Antonio Davila has been a professor at IESE Business School in Barcelona for the last 10 years, where he has a dual appointment as professor of Entrepreneurship and professor of Accounting and Control. Before coming to IESE, he was a faculty member at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University after receiving his doctorate from the Harvard Business School. He works extensively with both multinationals and startups, some of the latter started by his own students.

Arun Jayadev

Arun earned an MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurial Finance from IESE Business School, Barcelona in 2008. He was previously a Venture Partner at Wellington Partner, a venture capital firm investing in the Clean technology sector. He is currently the co-founder and COO of AM Technology which has developed Airlite, an amazing technology capable of mitigating air pollution

Carlos Garcia-Pont

Carlos Garcia-Pont has been a professor at IESE Business School in Barcelona for the last 24 years. His work has placed special emphasis on the importance of alliances in understanding competitive strategy, the organizational needs of market-oriented organizations in industrial markets and subsidiary strategy in global corporations. He has helped put together the concepts of market orientation and organizational openness to improve the innovation performance of organizations.

Charles Ehredt

Charles Ehredt has over 30 years experience helping companies align business processes, teams, and technology with clearly defined business strategy. Charles has also been a Business Angel investor in 23 companies spanning financial services, technology development, e-commerce, and manufacturing. More recently, Charles was Group Director of Innovation and New Ventures for eDreams ODIGEO and now focuses on helping companies understand the future of the travel industry and loyalty.

Farah Yasmine Shakir

Farah Yasmine Shakir is of Pakistani-Canadian origin and after graduating from Queen’s University in Canada with a Master of Industrial Relations, she established a career last working as the Head of HR Strategy for one of the largest financial institutions in Pakistan. She is currently completing her PhD in Management from IESE Business School in Barcelona, in the department of Managing People in Organizations. Her main focus is considering management practices that reconcile cultural differences.

Magda Rosenmöller

Magda Rosenmöller teaches health sector management in the MBA and executive education programmes at IESE Business School in Barcelona. She is also a regular visiting professor in European, Latin American, Asian and African institutions. She serves as expert adviser to the European Commission’s Health and Research DGs and the European Parliament, and is/has been consultant with other institutions, such as the World Bank, the World Health Organization and the Brookings Institution.

Mariano Torrente

Mariano was born in Huesca, a small town in the North of Spain, and moved to Madrid when he was 18. He is a professional business person with a twinkle in his eye; his experience is in consulting, and his passion is in magic and the art of Illusion. Mariano’s capability of mixing those two world in his daily life is truly inspiring, and he takes the TEDxIESEBarcelona stage at IESE Business School in Barcelona, to describe the lens through which he views life.

Vincent Ogutu

Vincent Ogutu is a full-time lecturer in Organizational Behavior, Leadership and Entrepreneurship at Strathmore Business School, Nairobi. He has a PhD in Organizational Management from Rutgers Business School, an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of London, and a BA in Economics from the University of Nairobi. His current research focuses on how to live meaningful lives and connect in a deeply meaningful way with one’s work.
