Author of ‘Bad Feminist’ a wise, funny and deeply empathetic collection of essays.
Kakani Katija – Bioengineer
Kakani’s work involves deploying cutting-edge technology to visualize marine organisms and our oceans in new ways.
Lerato Mokobe – Slam Poet
Lerato is a slam poet who explores social injustice and gender identity issues.
Elizabeth Nyamayaro – Political Scientist
Founder of Africa IQ, a social impact organisation that promotes Africa’s sustainable economic growth and development.
Pardis Sabeti - Computational Geneticist
Pardis Sabeti investigates the genomes of microbes, including the Ebola Virus, to help understand how to slow them.
In addition to this Jill Arnold a lecturer in Womens studies will be leading a discussion after the talks have finished.
