In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Coming from the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek, through her teaching and work, she strongly focuses on entrepreneurship in agriculture and creating a sustainable agricultural policy that will benefit all of us.

Marija Heffer

A professor at the Medical college in Osijek, who teaches medical biology, genetics and neuroscience. Born in Osijek, studied in Zagreb and then returned to her hometown. Through various projects that involve students of all ages she is trying to popularize science and show it's importance.

Renata Zorko

A microbiologist coming from Koprivnica. Her life's path has taken her to the area of pest control in food production. Even though her studies have focused on microbiology, she found new focus, knowledge and understanding for different things in those little critters that are meddling in the way we produce and conserve food

Zehra Delić

A primary school teacher that understands how learning and children have changed through generations. Using her work she is trying to create a safe and encouraging environment for her students, taking into account the benefits and risks of the new technologies available to us. She has organized a workshop "Children's safety on the Internet".
