In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Caro Howell

Caro Howell has been Director of the Foundling Museum, London since March 2011. Caro was previously Head of Education & Public Events at the Whitechapel Gallery, London, where she oversaw the construction and programming of major new education spaces and project galleries as part of the Gallery’s 2009 expansion. She has worked as an independent museum education consultant in the UK and abroad, developing projects that explore issues of advocacy, interpretation and access to the arts. She has created many award-winning resources for disabled people including a BAFTA for i-Map (2002), the UK’s first on-line art resources for blind and partially sighted people and a Jodi Award for i-Map:.Caro has an MA, History of Art from Birkbeck College, University of London (1994) and a BA, Theatre Studies from Warwick University (1988)

Debbi Evans

Debbi Evans is the founder of Libertine (liberti.ne), a groundbreaking women's media platform which focuses on substance above style. Libertine launched in April 2013 after years of frustration with the mainstream media, because the timing just felt right.

Lucy Scott

Lucy Scott is a User Researcher at Associated Newspapers and has 15 years’ experience in media research gained from working at a variety of media companies including MailOnline, BBC, Telegraph, FT and Hachette. Lucy is now leading the user research across Associated newspapers apps and ecommerce products whilst building a new user research facility.

Terri McNerney

Terri McNerney has over 25 years coaching senior technical managers and teams in Global 500 companies. Her consultancy works with multinational organisations in a variety of industries, including oil & gas, broadcast media, pharmaceutical, finance and IT. Terri combines business and developmental coaching with facilitation, enabling teams to successfully work through current business challenges and achieve their goals.
