TEDWomen 2015 is a TED event curated by TED and Pat Mitchell that focuses on women and women’s issues. TEDxWomen events are TEDx events hosted around the live webcast of TEDWomen, and may also feature local speakers.

Our event is called TEDxUniversityofMacauWomen and is one of many TEDx events happening around the globe on May 28 that will expand on the ideas brought up at TEDWomen.

This TEDx event provides a place to Livestream the TEDWomen 2015: Momentum, to promote its values and spread the inspiration all together with the women and men in Macau.

Marjory Vendramini

As a Brazilian, Marjory Vendramini came to Macau in 1990. She is a trained and licensed Social Worker and has a diploma in Child Psychology. In 1993, she founded the first local non-profit organization in Macau called the Cradle of Hope that has been dedicating to the children without home and family. The Cradle of Hope manages 2 kinds of homes. The first kind called The Cradle is committed to provide a vital care for children from new-born to age 6. The second called The Fountain of Hope provides a sustainable care for children from age 6 to 18. Up to now, 84 children are housed, and 280 neglected, abandoned, and abused children have been rescued. Marjory's profession and her dream is to help and see these kids to grow emotionally, physically and mentally healthily. She believes that they deserve a better future. Marjory is also undertaking a MBA.
