Theme: Territory Development

During this event we would like to show how territory development ( cultural and economic) depends from individual commitment, passion and competency, but also from public decisions and investments. So, we will speak about an useful immigration project (for both: immigrant and receiver); we will speak about Smart City and a proposal for citizen partecipation at a Smart City strategical decision; we will speak about dog straying, its social implications, submitting a solution to this thorny problem; we will speak, also, about a traditional and very old local musical instrument - "le launeddas" -, which have a very specific history and application.

Dante Olianas

He works in cultural enviroment, particularly in popular and ethnic music. He did several researches and scholarships on Indian, sardinian and Danish ethnomusic.He founded and coordinate a Cultural Association named Iscandula. See: www.launeddas.it He was member of the "Teatro Lirico di Cagliari" Council Bord. He is the Producer of the book "Launeddas", the Italian version of "The Launeddas. A Sardinian Folk Music Instrument" and of other books on the same subjetc.

After the degree in Statistcs and Demografic Science at Roma University and a Master in Sociology and social research in Roma University, he has chosen an University Course of Study . He has been professor in Several Institute of Cagliari University, Director of "Scienze Politiche" Institute and , now, Dipatment Director. He has been advisor in several publics project, of several public authorities and member in several public institutions. For five years, he was President of SFIRS, the Financial Company of the "Regione Auonoma della Sardegna"

Maria Elena Pisu

Maria Elena Pisu has started to take care of dogs when she was student. With her friends, generally girls, she adopted stray dogs or she saved hidden dogs , dogs with a sad destiny. Later on, she founded a no-profit association for stray dogs care. Now , she and her group, generally women, manage several kennel and make pet- education in pubblics schools. With Public Health department she , also, contributes to built pet- therapy and to give custody of people recovered stray dogs

Salvatore Virdis

After his degree he had an experience in education and , overseas, in an Iron&Steel factory. Than, he has been working for a long time in a big I&CT international company, in several important positions. He has a deep knowledge in I&CT, in Local Government and Distribution Markets. He designed and directed many projetcs in several types of Industries ( Process Factories, AgroIndustrial, Tranship, Airlines, ISV factories..). He has been , also, European Work Counceil representative for 5 years. Currently, he is advisor for a local I&CT company , advisor for a local television and member of a cultural association. He likes theatre, reading and jogging.
