Eman Al-Maadeed
She is a lecturer of Gulf Studies at Qatar University. She received her MSc in Culture and Society from the London School of Economics in 2014. Her two passions are understanding the structures that organize and create meaning in society, and dope music.
Jawhara Al-Thani
Jawhara is a student at New York University completing her Master’s in Sociology of Education and Cultural Studies. She graduated from Georgetown SFS-Qatar in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Culture and Politics. She examines the formation and development of institutionalized education, and the ways in which it has shaped modern culture.
Karl Widerquist
He is an Associate Professor at Georgetown University - School of Foreign Service in Qatar, specializing in political philosophy. His research is mostly in the area of distributive justice—the ethics of who has what.
Maher Hakim
He is currently an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, where he teaches courses on innovation entrepreneurship, agile product and project management, IT consulting, and data management and analytics.
He has 18 years of experience in Silicon Valley as a founder of five technology startup companies, and a product development executive at large software companies such as Infor and Autodesk.
Maye Al Kuwari
She is an owner of a small business - Fifi's Attic in Doha, where she collects and sells cool vintage stuff.
She got her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Kingston University. She is passionate about design and sustainability and tries to incorporate that in her business and everyday life.
Prasanjit Mitra
Prasenjit Mitra is sharing his experience with deep learning in computers. He is a Principal Scientist in the Data Analytics group at the Qatar Computing Research Institute. Dr. Mitra is passionate about designing computers that learn, write and possibly even think.
