TEDxFukuokaWomen is one of the 2015 TEDxWomen events being held in Japan. The event will be complemented by 3 exceptional speakers, including Reiko Nakamura, Managing Director of Schawk & Anthem Japan (see the full list of speakers below).

This year’s TEDxWomen theme is “Momentum”. In the words of the organizers, “We’ll explore the bold ideas that create momentum in how we think, live and work.”

Izumi Haraga

Izumi Haraga, Nature Art Educator is the President of Kitakyushu Eco Interpretation Club and the Secretary General of the network “Umisachi Yamasachi”. With an art degree from Fukuoka University of Education, Izumi has worked at a special support education school and has been teaching art and environmental issues to a wide range of students from elementary school to university. ふるさとづくりから考えるESD | 原賀いずみ | TEDxFukuokaWomen 北九州インタープリテーション研究会代表と豊の国海幸山幸ネット事務局長を務める原賀いずみ氏は、教育大学美術科卒業後、特別支援学校、小〜大学までの様々な学校で美術や環境問題を教え、独自の手法で地域の自然や文化を伝える教育を実践しています。また、北九州地域の魅力を伝える「豊の国けいちく・ふるさとミュージアム」の企画運営をし、持続可能な発展のための教育【ESD】に不可欠な、地域の宝を伝える「インタープリテーション」活動に奔走しています。

Lucy May Schofield

Lucy May Schofield is an artist and curator of the ‘Bibliotherapy Artist’s Book Library (BABL)’. BABL is a mobile touring library, home to around 200 artists’ publications, offering a unique reading experience to visitors through a combination of mindfulness and bespoke book prescriptions. Her practice focuses on artists’ books, as vessels to communicate. She has initiated projects to encourage access and exposure to engaging art works since 2002. ルーシー・メイ・スコフィールド氏は芸術家であり、「Bibliotherapy Artist’s Book Library (BABL)」(芸術家の本の図書館による読書療法)のキュレーターでもあります。BABLは200冊ほどの芸術家の本が詰まった移動図書館であり、マインドフルネスと、個々の為の、本による処方箋との融合を通し、訪問者に対して独自の読書体験を提供しています。彼女はこれらの芸術作品と人々が出会う機会を広める為に、2002年より、このプロジェクトに携わっています。

Reiko Nakamura

リーダーシップは模索し よう! | 中村 玲子 | TEDxFukuoka 中村玲子氏は、シャーク/アンセムジャパンの代表取締役として、独自のスタイルにてリーダーシップをとりつつ、世界的な著名ブランドのマネジメントに従事しています。 彼女は神戸に生まれ、10歳の時に経験した両親の離婚を通して、子供ながらに日常の幸せと前向きに考えることの重要さを学びました。 大学では神戸のラジオ局にてDJを務め、地元の広告代理店に入社しました。その後大阪の広告会社を経て、シャーク/アンセムジャパンに1999年入社し、現在に至ります。 As a Managing Director of Schawk/Anthem Japan, Reiko Nakamura leads the Tokyo office in her own unique style and works with major global clients on their branding management. She was born and raised in Kobe and learned the importance of daily happiness and being positive at the age of 10 years old when her parents divorced.Reiko was a radio DJ at a local AM station when she was a college student and joined a local ad agency in Kobe after graduating college. After moving to another ad agency in Osaka, Reiko joined Schawk/Anthem Japan in 1999.
