In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Isabelle Moser

Isabelle Moser is a People & Change Leader (HR Management Consulting services) at PwC. She has extensive international experience both in HR line and consulting , including Executive Coach (PCC by ICF) and Career Counseling. She is a guest speaker in several HR and university events. She holds an International MBA from Instituto de Empresa and a Degree and Master’s from Sorbonne.

Alexandros Costopoulos

Alexandros Costopoulos is a communications strategist active in the fields of strategic affairs and international economic relations since 1998. Founder and CEO of FORESIGHT, he has collaborated with distinguished individuals and prominent organizations, providing communication strategies related to public affairs, reputation management, public diplomacy and civil society engagement. Since 2008, he is the Director for Greece of American Citizens Abroad an international organization based in Geneva, while he is an elected member of the Board of Directors of the American‐ Hellenic Chamber of Commerce since 2010. On December 2011 he founded RepowerGreece, an international grassroots public diplomacy campaign that seeks to restore our country’s credibility and challenge the international misconceptions of Greece and her people.

Alexandros Papandreou

Alexandros Papandreou in his 30's is an Electrical & Computer Engineer and a PhD candidate of N.C.S.R. "Demokritos" laboratory at Computational Intelligence. He is the head of Gifted Children sector of Greek Mensa and head of its educational programs. He has set up the first programs for Gifted Children in Greece, which he manages for three consecutive years, while he was vice president of Greek Mensa from 2011 to 2014. As part of his responsibilities, he gives lessons, lectures, does trainings, counsels parents and mentors young people and children. He is one out of five members of Gifted Youth Committee of International Mensa and has been selected as Leadership Ambassador for 2014-2015. Alexandros Papandreou writes articles in scientific journals, has lectured at international conferences and has published dozens of articles. His interests include physics, philosophy, writing and traveling.

Angelika Vaxevanidou

Angelika is an active artist with international recognition that lives and works on the Cycladic island of Paros. Her studies include a bachelor degree in Sculpture from Athens School of Fine Arts and a post graduate program entitled “Art in Context” from Universiteat der Kuenste in Berlin. The impressive, large and sensitive pencil drawings of her have been presented in numerous exhibitions in Greece and abroad and enjoy a wide and enthusiastic audience. Angelika uses the techniques she developed to the creation of environments that isolate from external influences so as to investigate through her work the tension created between the personal and social identity of the individual. Going beyond the social influences, she is looking for freedom.

Giorgos Pinteris

Giorgos Pinteris has a PhD in Counseling Phychology of Ball State University in Indiana. His basic studies were completed in the University of Maryland. In parallel he taught Karate. He became known as a Psychologist in the wider Greek audience through the radio show “Meet yourself”. In 1978, he returned to USA, where he completed his Bachelor and Doctorate studies in the Ball State University and in 1982 he returned permanently to Athens. Since then he has participated in many TV and Radio shows in Greece and Cyprus. He has taught hundreds of seminars and given numerous lectures throughout Greece. He lives and works in Glyfada, providing educational, individual and group self-improvement sessions. He plays the guitar as well as Playstation console. He likes to take pride that he is the first who taught Karate at the National and Technical University of Athens. He first appeared as a writer in 1982 and since then there have been published 25 books of his.

Jason Spyromilio

Dr. Jason Spyromilio is an astrophysicist in the European Southern Observatory in Munich. His research focuses on the study of supernovas. He has been awarded with the Gruber Prize in Cosmology (2007) and the Prize for Fundamental Physics (2015), for having contributed in the discovery of the accelarating dilation of the universe. He has also been the Manager of the European Southern Observatory in Chile, and more recently the Head Designer of the European Extremely Large Telescope.

Kalipso Karantinou

Dr. Kalipso Karantinou teaches as a Lecturer in Marketing at the School of Business of Athens University of Economics and Business to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students and she has won awards of academic excellence and high teaching performance for the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her published research work amounts to 30 publications in reputable international academic journals and international academic conferences. Her research interests lie in the area of Marketing Services, Customer Relationship Management and Innovation Management. Since 2013, she has been elected as Representative of Greece in the Steering Committee of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC).

Maria Panagiotidou

Maria Panagiotidou was born and raised in Athens. She studied at the Department of Social Work at TEI of Athens and continued her postgraduate studies at the Department of Statistics at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She has also completed two postgraduate training cycles in “Counselling and Vocational Guidance” and “Management and social planning in the field of drug addiction”. She has been trained abroad as “trainer of trainers” mainly through non-formal learning. This period she continues studying for the qualification of educational animator. Since 2002 she has worked in various institutions that support immigrants and refugees as a social worker and since 2006 she is training staff at KETHEA MOSAIC, the Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals that supports therapeutically immigrants and refugees, drug users or not. In her spare time she is a volunteer at Asante, an organization founded by second generation immigrants. She is also interested in art.

Marios Strofalis

Marios Strofalis (1969, Athens) is a pianist and composer of cinema, theater and television. From July 2011 until the end of 2013 he worked at Technopolis of the city of Athens as an artistic director of music festivals. In 2012 he created the Athens Art Network, and until now he gave birth to four cultural festivals that are in full force (Athens gardens festival, Petit Paris d’Athènes, Patision Cinemart and Mediterrepolis), so as to highlight worldwide the Greek artistic potential, to strengthen cultural tourism and to support both cultural and social values.

Nicolò Ceccarelli

Animated videos and social action | Nicolò Ceccarelli | TEDxAUEB Nicolò Ceccarelli is Associate Professor in Design at the Alghero School of Architecture in Italy. Over the years Mr. Ceccarelli has oriented his research work towards the interactions between design and digital technology, working on various fields such as 3D modeling, animation and design visualization. In 2013 his investigations on new languages for making information accessible through visual design lead to the first 2CO Communicating Complexity Design Conference. More recently he started exploring Neo-local Design, an approach to blend innovation with the value of the local dimension, and engaging with audiovisual projects in Morocco and Palestine.

Nikos Erinakis

Nikos Erinakis (1988, Athens) is a Ph.D. candidate in the Universities of London and Oxford, having studied Economics (AUEB), Philosophy and Comparative Literature (Warwick) and Philosophy of the Social Sciences (LSE). He has published two poetry books "Soon everything will be burning and will lit up your eyes" (Roes, 2009) and "In between where the shadow falls" (Gavrielidis, 2013), as well as a translation of poems by Georg Trakl and passages by Martin Heidegger under the title "Dark love of a wild generation" (Gavrielides, 2011). He is currently teaching Political Philosophy, Ethics and Philosophy of Art. Essays and poems by him have been included in anthologies, have been published in numerous journals and have been translated into five languages.

Rolf Leger

Rolf Leger is working at Kolle Rebbe advertising agency in Hamburg as an Executive Creative Director. He is a member of the ADC Germany and has been a juror for the Cannes Lions, ADC of Europe and several other ad festivals for many years. Last year his team has won 7 Lions and made Kolle Rebbe the #1 german agency at Cannes.
