Theme: Challenge and Change

TEDxBocconiU, like the University, brings together a diverse group of people to share ideas, knowledge and inspiration. We aim to spark deep discussion, connection and thought at our engaging events.

With the theme "Challenge and Change" our next Conference will bring to Bocconi ten incredibly talented speakers and the ONE lucky student, winner of the TEDxBocconi Contest.

The TEDx talks will discuss ideas that have the power and potential to make a difference in our lives and in our world and will have the amazing power to connect people who have the same passions and drive.

Aleksander Ostrowski

Aleksander Ostrowski is a CEMS Masters student from Rotterdam. Born in Germany to Polish parents, he spent part of his formative years in the United States, attended a British school outside Warsaw and is currently fulfilling his goal of having studied in 4 countries. Now an exchange student at Bocconi, Alex is member of the board of the CEMS Club Milano. Inspired by his childhood spent playing Mario Kart, he recently developed his own theory in the field of motivation.

Caspar Diederik

Caspar Diederik, Amsterdam based skilled Visual storyteller, Photographer, Video production, Editor and Director and Co Founder of StoryTravelers a tribe of visual storytelling artists with a shared passion for genuine travel experiences. “We develop striking and cutting edge Visual Storytelling Campaigns for Travel Destinations; Story Travelers jump into genuine travel experiences and translate these into awesome visual stories. Stories that will travel through social networks inspiring people all over the world. “

Davide Dattoli

Davide is the Co-Founder of Talent Garden, the biggest european network of CoWorking Campuses with a focus on digital. Davide has been selected as one of the TOP 5 WIRED Italy innovators and is often speaking at local and international events, such as Wired Festival. This year, we are honored to have him on the stage of TEDxBocconiU to inspire all of us about the importance of providing a space and a creative and challenging environment for a community to be able to develop ideas and talent in unthinkable ways.

Elif Kara

Elif Kara in an Istanbul-born sophomore reading Finance in Bocconi University, interested in the impact of psychology on corporate decision making. She won the Student Speaker competition of TEDxBocconiU. She has a published article on the double dilemma of existence in ‘the Other’ magazine’s ‘Dreams and Dichotomies’ series. She is currently penning articles for an online platform on economics and finance. She started a microcredit movement for Turkish women that won the most sustainable project award by GRAMEEN.

Ginie Servant

Ginie Servant is a philosopher, historian, women’s rights activist and educator at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. She will share with us her experience in teaching martial arts to girls in Zimbabwe in order to help them overcome difficult situations. She will give us an insight on how much impact this activity can have on humans. We hope, that her speech will challenge the way we see empowerment and martial arts.

Leonardo Intriago

Leonardo Intriago’s path to become an HR was rather unconventional. After having attended an entrepreneurial design program at the Catholic University in Quito, Ecuador, he fulfilled his passion by working for PwC and now for LinkedIn.

Lidia Carew

Lidia Carew is an Alvin Ailey Technique trained dancer who was born and raised in Italy. In addition to the Horton Technique, she is also fluent in Contemporary, Modern TV, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. She has danced and performed internationally for many projects; live, for TV, Music Videos, Theatres, print and commercials.

Lorenzo Peccati

Mr. Peccati is a full professor of Financial Mathematics at Bocconi University. He is known as the strictest and most respected professor at our institution.

Rob De Feo

Rob a dyslexic that hides his gift in the open, always experimenting new (occasionally useful) approaches to every situation, finally having found a home in the world of innovation. Currently working as a Technology Architect and you can easily bump into him around the StartMiUp office in Bocconi University.

Vincenzo Ferrieri

Former Bocconi student managing one of the most successful Milanese family businesses.
