Chalotte Davis

Charlotte Davis currently teaches art at Hutchison School in Memphis, Tennessee. After college, Charlotte spent a dozen years working for both Reb Haizlip, a local architect who specializes in children’s museums, and Bill Andrews, the owner of the only commercial scenic shop in town, Memphis Scenic. Significant credits include her stints as the Technical Manager for the River City Shakespeare Festival, a local-international company devoted to bringing the city free performances in non-traditional public spaces; a member of New Bridge Ensemble, an all-female first-generation TheatreWorks company tackling avant gard theater for the general public; a founding member of Frop Shop, a performance and art consortium with decidedly vaudvillian roots. One of her longer theatrical relationships is with the local company Voices of the South, whose members she has worked with individually or collectively over the past 20 plus years.
