About TEDxKoreaUniversity

“Geeks change the world.”
TEDxKoreaUniversity is an independent student body in Korea University aiming to extend TED mission of exchanging ideas worth spreading in the field of technology, entertainment and design. As our motto “Geeks change the world” states, we sincerely believe that the pioneers who followed their heart with genuine passion slowly but vigorously make this world a better place to live in. What we are looking for in speakers of TEDxKoreaUniversity are not the ones who achieved glamorous success, but are the ones who have their “unique”, “fun”, and “sincere” story to share.

ABOUT TED

TED’s mission is spreading ideas. We firmly believe in the power of ideas to change people’s attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. We are eagerly hoping to provide a fun gathering to those curious souls who wish to engage actively in exchanging ideas, and to offer free knowledge and inspiration from the world’s most extraordinary and creative thinkers.

ABOUT TEDX

In the very spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that allows people to share a TED-like experience in a broader sense. Though TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, individual TEDx events, including TEDxKU, are fully self-organized and financed.
