Colonel Michael Coolican
Director of the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate since 2013. Col. Coolican is a Harrier pilot, and has served for the Marine Corps Systems Command and as the Program Manager for Training Systems in Orlando. He now runs a task force that develops non-lethal weapons to be deployed to incapacitate our enemies abroad without using deadly force.

The directorate oversees the day to day management of research and development of non lethal capabilities for the DoD. Colonel Coolican was commissioned as a marine officer through the naval ROTC program at Villanova University. He earned his bachelors in mathematics. He earned his Master's in Military Studies at the Marine Corp Command and Staff College also at Quantico. He is a certified acquisition professional and served as the professor of systems acquisitions at DoD defense acquisition university. HIs operational experience consists of three separate tours flying the Harrier Jet.
Dr. David Casarett
Associate professor of medicine at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine. His main interest and specialty is end of life care, and he recently published a book called Shocked: Adventures in Bringing Back the Recently Dead.

David Casarett, M.D., is a physician, researcher, and tenured associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. His studies have included more than ten thousand patients and have resulted in more than one hundred articles and book chapters, published in leading medical journals such as the Journal of the American Medical Association and The New England Journal of Medicine. His many awards include the prestigious U.S. Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.

Professor Swaddle is a Professor of Biology at the College of William and Mary. His research emphasis is in behavioral ecology and evolution, focusing on how anthropogenic alteration of the environment influences the ecology and evolution of bird populations.

Dr. Zhana Vrangalova
Dr. Zhana Vrangalova is an adjunct professor of psychology at New York University where she studies different aspects of sexuality, specifically relating to casual sex, and how it is linked to one's health and well being. She holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Cornell. She also runs the Casual Sex Project, a website where readers can share their personal stories of sexuality.

Mark Wood is an original member of the Trans Siberian Orchestra, Julliard-trained electric violinist, Emmy-winning composer. He has performed with Lenny Kravitz, Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler, Billy Joel, Kanye West and Celine Deon. Wood pursues his passion for music education by running "Electrify Your Strings", an intensive rock and roll workshop for school music education departments.

Prof. Sean Tarter
Prof. Sean Tarter founded a consulting firm specializing in advanced physical and mathematical modeling of systems in sectors including finance, energy, wireless technology, a limited amount of defense-related research, and more. When he suddenly found himself fighting a severe medical disability, he was invited to join the faculty of the College of William & Mary, which has been a source of immense joy for him. Sean has served and taught for many years at the College in several departments, as an Adjunct Associate Professor, Visiting Research Fellow, and Visiting Instructor. He is a reviewer for the journals of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and has also published in the medical literature. Sean holds several graduate degrees from the College of William and Mary, where he also received High Honors for his undergraduate research in A.I. algorithms and econometric analysis. He is annually blessed with the best students imaginable.
