TEDxUskudarAmericanAcademy is an independently organized TEDx event held in Uskudar American Academy that aims to bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDxUskudarAmericanAcademy, TEDTalks video and live speakers combines to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

Dyane Stillman

Dyane Stillman is an English and Drama teacher at Uskudar American Academy. Having had the privilege of observing and guiding students as they navigated personal and academic turning points for the last twenty years, she is an advocate for Arts Education who takes great delight in introducing Shakespeare's work as theatre, rather than only as literature.

Esat Ugurlu is an entrepreneur who has had a chance to do business in the e-learning field in more than a dozen countries from the United States to Thailand. After ten years of living abroad, Esat moved back to Turkey to start GLOBED E-learning Solutions & Consultancy (www.globed.co) with a focus on introducing new technologies for more effective teaching and learning.

Gordon Dobie is an English teacher at Uskudar American Academy, specializing in learning multiple languages. After successfully resisting language teaching in high school and at university he discovered he has a gift for languages as long as a hardwork is put in learning them.
