TEDxYouth@LatinSchool aims to change your story. Set for 100 Latin School of Chicago high schoolers, the event brought in five speakers who break conventions in their respective fields to inspire teens and uncover the myriad possibilities of how to change an entire generation's story.

Alex Chapman

Chicago-raised, up-and-coming rapper Alex Chapman remains dedicated to D.I.Y. recording: just him and his laptop in his bedroom. He has spent the last few years all over the music scene, from Los Angeles to his current home, New York. After the successful release of tracks including “Switch Hitta” his single, “Blue Steel” as well as his recently released single, “Bully.” Alex is announcing a new album/visual LP, which he has yet to announce a release date for, the visual LP means that every track on the project will be accompanied by a video.

Marc Landsberg

Marc Landsberg has years of experience in advertising firms. But when he started his own company, Chicago-based social media agency Social Deviant, Landsberg had a very specific idea in mind—the kindest company in the world.

Margaret Stender

Margaret Stender is a pioneer in women's sports. She served as the founding President and CEO of the Chicago Sky—the first WNBA team to for the first six years of this WNBA franchise. She guided several milestones: a growing passionate fan base, partnerships with many diverse Chicago businesses, the venue move to Allstate Arena, a monumental T.V. broadcast schedule, the creation of the Chicago Sky Cares Foundation plus an exceptional athlete roster which includes three WNBA all-stars. Stender lives and breathes basketball—she was a three-sport athlete in college, helped found the Chicago Sky, and is currently the co-owner of Flow Basketball Academy specifically for girls. Her reach has extended beyond Chicago limits—let her inspiration reach you as well!

Neal Salés-Griffin

Neal Sales-Griffin wants to live in a world where everyone can choose to do meaningful work they love every day. As CEO of The Starter League he teaches passionate people how to design, code, and ship web apps that solve problems they care about. When he’s not teaching he’s working on Lantern, an app that helps teachers save time and engage students better. His latest initiative is Starter School – a grad-school program that teaches the design, programming, and business skills to ship a product in 9 months.

Nick Kokonas

Nick Kokonas has been an investor, a trader, an advisor, a restaurateur, and an entrepreneur. At the moment, he's the co-owner of three restaurants, including the three Michelin-starred Alinea in Chicago. He's also building a new kind of ticketing system for dinner reservations. Kokonas has built up an entirely new concept for the experience of going out to dinner. Look out for his continued ventures in the Chicago area!
