Theme: Redefine the Norm

This event occurred on

9:00am - 4:00pm PDT
(UTC -7hrs)
Vancouver, British Columbia

The personal human experience is constantly redefined through unpredictable and unknown circumstances presented through extraordinary encounters. With Redefine the Norm, TEDxSFU provides opportunities to create your own path by exploring innovations in technology, education, and design. We are inviting speakers to tell us of breaking through expectations, taking control, and finding empowerment through their experiences. The stories, no longer than 18 minutes in length, will facilitate dialogue, open up new realms of thought, and continue to spread ideas in the community. Speakers will be recorded and videos will be posted online. Find an idea worth spreading and help redefine the norm.

Since TEDxSFU’s inaugural conference in November 2011, TEDxSFU has been a contributing member to the TEDx community for four consecutive years. Our contributions include organizing 3 successful events, with our most recent event being TEDxSFUChange. To date, TEDxSFU has amassed a total of over 423,500 views on TEDxTalks’ channel with our most popular talk being Jane Langton with over 376,000 views. With our main event coming this November, TEDxSFU will have reached out and inspired over 1000 individuals. We invite you to join the TEDx movement. Become inspired, become a TED(x)ster.
