In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alejandra Maria Ortega

Alejandra María Ortega, besides of be business administrator of Andes University in Bogotá, is actress and poet since she was very young. With his partner and director Carlos Gutiérrez Rangel, she created the play Antonia, a monologue which was presented in the R101 theatre and recognized for Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation in 2013. Poetry and acting have been her most big passions. In 2008, she published her first book Sabran de mí, y en el 2010, Las musas no son eternas. In 2014, she launched Antes que el olvido nos llegue with 30 poems about love and life.

Jhonny Hendrix Hinerstroza

Film director and producer Jhonny Hendrix Hinestroza has 14 years of experience in the field. Creator of the colombian enterprise Antorcha Films. In the end of 2006, he produced the film Perro como perro of Carlos Moreno, which was launched on the World Dramatic Competition in the Sudance Film Festival in 2008 and became one of the most famous movies in Colombia. Has been producer of films like En coma (2011), Deshora (2013) and Respira (2014), and director of Cuando lleguen los muchachos (2010). Nowadays he is co-producer of projects like El Sabor que nos queda, Cenizas del perdón and Los niños de Inkisi.

Juan Carlos Guaqueta

Juan Carlos Guaqueta started as entrepreneur since he was very young. At the age of 15 he already had his own enterprise, which creates composting with worms. On a trip to Silicon Valley, he noticed that worms could clean the dirty water, which can be used later for irrigation and production. Thanks to his idea, Guaqueta has been recognized for the World Environmental Center, AAS, State Department of USA and BID.

Juan Carlos Pellegrino

Juan Carlos Pellegrino, musician and sound engineer. He studied music in Javeriana University and lived in Paris for 10 years, where studied sound engineering and worked in the production of electronic music with Crydamoure (Daft Punk). He is recognized for be the producer of the musical group Systema Solar. Besides, is the son of the founder of FACE (Foundation for educational upgrade).

Juan Felipe Castaño

Con gran experiencia en el mundo digital, desde el 2009, Juan Felipe Castaño decidió a tomar el camino del emprendimiento. Actualmente es Chief Operating Officer y Co-fundador de PLATAFOR.MA, compañía dedicada al desarrollo de negocios digitales en Latinoamérica. Hoy PLATAFOR.MA tiene 2 negocios en línea: CÍVICO, una plataforma de ciudad digital bajo el modelo de crowdsourcing y ENTER.CO, medio digital enfocado en cultura digital y tecnología With great experience in the digital field, since 2009, he decided to be an entrepreneur. Nowadays, he is Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of PLATAFOR.MA, company that creates digital businesses. PLATAFOR.MA has two business online: CÍVICO, a platform of crowdsourcing for citizens and ENTER.CO, a media about digital culture and technology.

Juan Pablo Garcia

Colombian publicist Juan Pablo García is in charge of lead projects of public good and government. In the last few years, with his work team, has traveled to the jungle to invite the members of FARC guerrilla to let the guns, through many strategic actions. ‘Light operations’ and ‘You are my son’ are two of the most recognized campaigns made by García. The result: 17 thousand guerrillas put down their weapons behind and returned back to their homes. Besides, his big idea has been implemented in other countries like Uganda.

Laura Agudelo

Laura Agudelo was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia. She is social communicator, journalist and specialist in public relations. She is recognized for break the beauty stereotypes imposed by fashion, through her blog called La Pesada de Moda, which has already 4 years of life. In her articles, she makes a reflexion about advertising, mass media, physical beauty and, off course, fashion.

Miranda Cardona

Singer Miranda Cardona became the winner of the first edition of The Voice Colombia in 2012. Thanks to the participation in the competition, she signed contract with Universal Music and received the recognition of the all country. In 2013, she won the Shock Award as New Best Female Singer with her album called Alma and in 2014 she was nominated for the Latin Grammy as New Best Artist.

Sandra Freiye

Colombian architecture Sandra Freiye is founder of Terron Coloreado, a project that uses urban paint and collaborative work like tools for social reintegration of vulnerable communities in Cali, Colombia. She believes in the idea of create projects that could be easy to replicate and has the potential to change the world.

Sergio Mora

In the last few years, specialist doctor of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Sergio Mora, chief of Rheumatology department on the Samaritana Universitary Hospital in Bogotá, Colombia and member of the Colombian Association of Rheumatology, has been worked in a project of clinical simulation to improve education and knowledge about Rheumatology in the medical community and in the society in general. His idea is pioneer in the field of medicine and unique in its type.
