In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Britta Badour

Britta B has embodied “living the dream” as a spoken word artist, keynote speaker and artist education. She is an acting ambassador for R.I.S.E Edutainment and an artist educator for UNITY Charity. Britta has spent time traveling North America building awareness for the various organizations and causes she represents and is no stranger to TEDx events. Britta B has integrated her passion, creativity, and philanthropic attitude to become an extremely influential role model who has demonstrated the truth behind the idea that you truly can be successful when you do what you love.

David Johnson

David O. Johnson is a graduate of Queen’s University in Metallurgical Engineering and founding partner ALCERECO. With more than 30 years in material process development and design Mr. Johnson has founded multiple companies in the market of niche metal extraction and recycling technology. He will be sharing his views on science, technology, innovation and other magic!

Howard Dell

Howard lives by a quote from Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Now is the time to make real the promises of your potential. Now is the time!” Howard has a B.Econ from McMaster University along with multiple Cardiac Care certifications. He is a multiple medal-winning athlete, performer, actor, terminal cancer survivor, thriving consulting business owner and soon to be author as he translates his knowledge of nutrition for health and vitality into a book, “Eating Left because Right Didn’t Work.” Howard spends a lot of his time speaking out on behalf of various charities including the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alberta Lung Association and he was the former national spokesperson for Multiple Sclerosis. He is also a passionate advocate for organ donor awareness.
