Peut-on se soigner en jouant? Oui, avec la dramathérapie, qui fait partie de la famille des art-thérapies. Le théâtre, le conte, l'écriture, l'improvisation, les marionnettes, les masques, le clown, autant de possibilités qui permettent de mieux se connaître, d'exprimer puis d'intégrer des traumatismes, de développer ses compétences à être au monde.

A propos de Barbara Lau :
J'ai commencé par une formation théâtrale (Paris 3 et école d'acteur), une formation à la marionnette (Théâtre aux Mains Nues), et rapidement, en plus d'un intérêt pour la création artistique, j'ai développé une affinité pour les arts de la scène en tant qu'outils: outil social, outil éducatif, outil thérapeutique.
Du théâtre pour le développement au Sénégal, au Burkina Faso ou au Sri Lanka, je suis arrivée à la dramathérapie. Je me suis formée à Paris 5 avec un DU et un Master en Dramathérapie, puis en DvT - improvisation thérapeutique. J'ai cofondé l'institut français de DvT, méthode que j'enseigne à Paris. J'ai continué mon parcours en me formant à la thérapie familiale systémique au centre Monceau. Je pratique aujourd'hui en libéral, dans le collège alternatif que j'ai co-créé Grivery, dans différentes structures sociales. Activement engagée pour la reconnaissance de mon métier, je suis vice présidente de l'association nationale de dramatherapie,représentante de la France auprès de la Fédération Européenne de Dramathérapie, et suis co-créatrice du premier festival de dramathérapie qui aura lieu cet été en France.

Can we heal ourselves through playing? Yes, with drama therapy, which is part of the “art therapy” family. Theatre, storytelling, writing, improvisation, puppets, masks, clowning, are all possibilities which allow us to get to know ourselves better, to express and then integrate traumas, to develop our skills to be in the world.

About Barbara Lau :
I started with a theatrical training (Paris 3 and actor's school), a puppet training (Théâtre aux Mains Nues). Quickly in addition to an interest in artistic creation, I developed an affinity for the performing arts as a tool: a social, educational, therapeutic tool.
From theatre for development in Senegal, Burkina Faso or Sri Lanka, I came to drama therapy. I trained at Paris 5 with a DU and a Master's degree in Dramathérapie, then in DvT - therapeutic improvisation. I co-founded the French Institute of DvT, a method I teach in Paris. I continued my career by training in systemic family therapy at the Monceau centre. Today I practice as a freelancer, in the alternative college that I co-created Grivery, in different social structures. Actively committed to the recognition of my profession, I am vice-president of the national association of dramatherapy, France's representative to the European Drama Therapy Federation, and I am co-creator of the first drama therapy festival which will take place this summer in France.
