Scott Fitsimones is an urbanist, engineer and passionate technologist. He is the recipient of the 2020 Thiel Fellowship, which rewards entrepreneurs who drop out of college in order to pursue big ideas. His idea? AirGarage, a start-up rethinking how we might use parking lots.
More recently, Fitsimones got interested in Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). As a result, he started CityDAO, a collective which purchased and governs 40 acres of land in Wyoming. A grand experiment in collective ownership and decision-making, CityDAO is an attempt to pioneer new ways to use blockchain technology in physical, life-altering ways.
