Investor Pete Stavros oversees one of the largest private equity platforms in the world, covering $165 billion of assets across Europe, Asia and the Americas for global investment firm KKR. He is the founder of Ownership Works, a nonprofit group advocating for employee ownership across corporate America, with a goal of creating $20 billion of wealth for working families within the next decade. He is also the founder of Expanding ESOPs, a coalition of employee ownership advocates and ESOP ("employee stock ownership plan") experts who are pursuing legislation in the United States to make ESOPs easier and faster to form, particularly among larger businesses.
