Why you should listen

Having focused her career on remaking business to function in a regenerative way, Erin Meezan is a trained environmental lawyer turned corporate sustainability leader. For the last 18 years, she's been at Interface, Inc., a pioneering flooring maker founded by Ray Anderson.

As chief sustainability officer, Meezan leads a global team that's helping remake the flooring business and supply chain into one that has positive impacts through product and business model innovations. She led Interface to design and commit to a new mission in 2016 called Climate Take Back, which aims to reverse global warming and create a climate fit for life. With the end goal of designing their business enterprise to store more carbon than it emits, they're moving forward with innovations like carbon-negative products and trying to make their factories function like forests. By engaging amazing collaborators like Biomimicry 3.8 and others, Meezan and her team are defining what regenerative business looks like.
