Craig Richard

Physiologist
Craig Richard’s lifelong struggle to quiet the noisy squirrels in his head while falling asleep led to his explorations into the sleepy-bliss sensation of Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR).

Why you should listen

Dr. Craig Richard is an ASMR experiencer (an early memory was the sedating effect of painter Bob Ross), an ASMR researcher (co-author of the first brain scan study of ASMR and coordinator of the largest database about ASMR) and an ASMR educator (founder of ASMRUniversity.com and author of the ASMR book Brain Tingles).
He is also an ASMR consultant (consulted for JetBlue, PBS and the first ASMR Super Bowl commercial) and an ASMR content creator (host of the podcasts Sleep Whispers and Calm History).
Dr. Richard is a professor of biomedical sciences at the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy at Shenandoah University in Virginia.
