Speculative fiction writer
Chen Qiufan (aka Stanley Chan) is an award-winning author, translator and curator. He is the co-author of the new book "AI 2041: Ten Visions for Our Future" and was selected as a culture leader by the World Economic Forum in 2019.

Chen Qiufan's works include Waste Tide, one of The Guardian's best science fiction books of 2019 and a Locus Awards Best New Novel finalist, and AI 2041coauthored with Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, the author of AI Superpowers. He's also the founder of Thema Mundi, a creative studio based in Shanghai.

Qiufan believes that speculative narratives will be a powerful tool to reveal and explore problems like climate change, sustainability, cultural and biological diversity, and the rights and obligations we owe to others. His unique voice connects and inspires younger generations to realize the urgency of change and the need to create a better future.
