A former computational ecologist and researcher for USAID and NASA, Amanda Schochet draws inspiration from the systems she spent years studying to create a new kind of educational institution. MICRO aims to weave compact, engaging exhibits about contemporary science into neighborhoods and public spaces everywhere, increasing public access to key tools and concepts to empower people to shape the trajectory of our collective future. Schochet is an awardee of Science Sandbox, a Simons Foundation outreach initiative.
