Holladay Brothers: To the beat of light

About this performance: Musicians Ryan and Hays Holladay blur the boundaries of sight and sound, creating a visual experience where music becomes the performer, rather than the performance with captivating colorful explosions that react to their music’s slightest beats and tones.

About the performers

The Holladay Brothers are pioneers in location-aware music composition: using GPS, they map sounds to landscapes, so thatthe music you hear dynamically alters as you wander. Music critic Chris Richards described their first production, The National Mall, as “magical...like using GPS to navigate a dream.” Their video and sound installation Prime3 is currently open in the Dolby headquarters in San Francisco. Ryan was a 2015 Senior TED Fellow.

About this event
