TEDxArendal will feature a wide selection of about 15 of our local thinkers, motivators and inspiering inhabitants - Both born and raised here - or the ones that in some way have connections to our small city!
Our slogan is "Ancient horizons - New connections" and the topics for the evning are all loosly related to this mindset. For hundreds of years - as soon as the inhabitants of the Agder region were able to set sail - they left the safe shores of home to explore and trade. Away for several months at a time, they acquainted themselves with new cultures, new cities and new experiences. They shared their knowledge, and brought home new ideas.
Today, our small region situated in the outskirts of Europe, still look outwards. Great thinkers come from all over to settle here, and we produce ingenious solutions that we share to others. Our shores may be ancient, but we still create new connections to the world around us.
