In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Raja Ben Ammar

Youssef Seddik

You certainly know Youssef Seddik, eloquent Tunisian philosopher and anthropologist. Youssef Seddik is a specialist in Ancient Greece and the anthropology of the Qur'an. He obtained many degrees like a DES in philosophy and a BA in French Literature and Civilization. With his book "We never read the Qur’an," Youssef Seddik became a well-known personality in the cultural Tunisia.

Arafet Ben Marzou

Arafet Ben Marzou is the Tunisian globetrotter who traveled Asia fully cycling from Istanbul before crossing regions like Iran and the Himalayas to get to Beijing after 10 months. At the end of this adventure, Arafet sees himself engaged in a struggle to preserve nature and sharing its beauty.

Hakim Ben Hammouda

Hakim Ben Hammouda is a Special Advisor to the President of the African Development Bank. He holds a PhD in International Economics and a HDR (Habilitation Research) at the University of Grenoble in France. From 2006 to 2008, he was Chief Economist and Director of the Division of Trade, Finance and Economic Development of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). He has taught International Economics and Development Economics at several universities and has published numerous books, reports, articles and columns…

Ibrahim Letaief

Tunisian cinema is an industry that has often been marginalized and suffocated, it also suffered in clutter with many years of dictatorship, censorship and financial constraints. But that has not prevented the director / producer Ltaief Ibrahim, born 1959, to succeed and deal with any winning factor against the emancipation of this sector gaps. He had the chance to exhibit several of his short films (VISA, Cinecittà ..) at the Cannes Film Festival, marking a turning point in the Tunisian cinema.

Zied Alaya

Principal Consultant Engineer in the prestigious university ESPRIT, Zied Alaya is an active member in the Ubuntu community where he participates in different activities in the LoCo team in Tunisia. One of his new projects is to teach according to the “active learning” process which refers to several models of instruction that focus the responsibility of learning on learners.
