On September 23rd 2013, TEDxAlbertopolis will become the first TEDx event ever held at the Royal Albert Hall and will be an afternoon of inspiring, thought-provoking and entertaining talks exploring how art and science fit together in the modern world.
This independently organized event, licensed by TED, will consist of a half-day of inspiring and entertaining talks exploring how science, medicine and technology coexist with the arts in modern society. Inspired by the TEDx message of inclusivity and access to all, TEDxAlbertopolis is aimed at students and professionals, academics and non-academics, families and young people alike: if you have a curious mind, TEDxAlbertopolis will be for you.
Drawing on the rich history of Albertopolis, the event will take inspiration from the area's founding principle that the Arts and Sciences should work side by side for the public good. It is deeply fitting that such an event will take place at the Royal Albert Hall of Arts and Sciences, the world's most famous stage. Not just providing a venue for some of the world’s most popular artists, it is a charity dedicated to increasing access to the arts and sciences, supporting the cultural life of the country and to inspire future generations.
