TEDx1KG was an experiment with doing a TEDx event for primary school kids in rural China. It was inspired by the 1KG More initiative, which simply says, if you are traveling in rural China, just bring some books and stationaries with you and give them to the school kids, play with them, teach them something. A simple idea with huge impact. We issued an open call on the web, and have some 30 people joining us in this journey to Lijiang, actually, to a rural school nested deep inside the huge mountains which took four hour of bus ride and half an hour climbing. Tired but happy, as we saw the kids and played with them.
Six people spoke at TEDx1KG, about their life stories, aspirations and inspirations. The kids were all listening with eager eyes and ears.
