We believe it’s the process that counts. The journey is the reward.

The Power of Journey explores two riveting paths: Quest for Unknown and Circle of Life.

Our speakers are made up of diverse backgrounds: ocean explorer, legendary puppetry master, renewable energy inventor, mountaineer…They are those who defy adversity, demonstrate tenacity, prove the impossible. They are heroes and yet they are also one of us.

Special Speaker:

1. David Hanson,the founder and CEO of Hanson Robotics,and has earned awards from NASA, NSF and Cooper Hewitt Design.

2. Martina Klimesova,an Associated Fellow at the Institute for Security and Development Policy in Stockholm,research focus is on third party involvement in peace negotiation, conflict-development nexus, and the employment of incentives in peace processes.

Announcing 8 speakers:

1. Ming-Hui Liao, ocean conservator, researcher of marine debris. She led an expedition into Pacific Ocean studying and tracking the flow of garbage.

2. Lian Zhi Zhan, naturalist, mountaineer, founder of Taiwan Ecological School, he plans to lead a team to climb 14 mountains over 8000-meters in the next 10 years.

3. James Kuo, creator of SOLOMAN Vehicle Team, renewable energy expert, inventor of "LOHAS Pixie," first urband concept car

4. Jiun-Huei "Proty" Wu, cosmologist, Academia Sinica Research Fellow, former researcher at NASA

5. Yao Chung-Han, sound and visual artist, founder of i/O Lab, Lacking Sound Festial, U*Sound, recipient of Sound Art Prize at Digital Art Festival.

6. Amanda Wu, jazz virtuoso, composer, singer, first Taiwanese selected into Circus du Soleil

7. Bulareyaung Pagarlava, Taiwanese aboriginal choreographer and dancer, Resident Choreographer at Cloud Gate2, recipient of Performing Arts Fellowship from Asian Cultural Council. In 2009 Bulareyaung was commissioned by Martha Graham Dance Company to choreograph Lamentation Variation and Chasing at Lincoln Center.

8. Chen Xi-Huang, son of legendary puppetry master Li Tien-lu, recipient of National Arts Preserver Award, Chen devotes his life to preserving and teaching the art of puppetry.

The ten speakers come from diverse backgrounds and combined their stories weave a beautiful journey that will bring you on an exciting ride.
