Ke Li jing

Institute of Biotechnology Fuzhou University, Ph.D., Research Associate. Dr. Ke graduated with a Ph.D. degree of Biochemistry and Biophysics from College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, The University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2010. As a researcher with over 10-year experience in biotechnology, Dr. Ke has worked intensively in traditional Chinese herbal medicine subjects and functional ingredients from traditional food. He and his colleagues discovered two key players responsible for the therapeutic effects of traditional Chinese medicine: the Maillard reaction products derived from herbs, and the nano-scale colloidal particles in the medicinal soup. They altered the medicine both chemically and physically. These new findings are expected to shed light on the black box of how traditional Chinese medicine functions.
